Centenary listed as "Best Value" among Harvard, Yale

Centenary was recently listed in the top ten in Kiplinger's Best Values in Private Colleges Under $20K for 2014. The online report featured schools from Kiplinger's annual rankings that have high "sticker prices" but a total net cost of attendance of $20,000 or less after need-based and institutional aid. The top ten also included Harvard, Yale, Amherst, along with several elite institutions with substantial endowments and need-based aid programs.

A new report on CBS MoneyWatch recognized Centenary College as one of the Top 25 Colleges with the Best Professors. Centenary is the only institution in the Ark-La-Tex area to receive this distinction. The Center for College Affordability and Productivity compiled the list from the more than 15 million student ratings of college professors on RateMyProfessors.com.

Centenary named to President's Community Service Honor Roll

For the eighth year in a row, Centenary has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. The list recognizes the nation's leading higher education institutions that reflect the values of exemplary community service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities. A total of 690 higher education institutions were named to the 2013 Honor Roll. Combined, the Honor Roll awardees engaged 3.1 million students in community service for a total of 118 million service hours. The economic impact of this service is valued at 2.5 billion dollars.

Washington Monthly Recognizes Centenary's Contribution to the Public Good

Centenary has been named among top liberal arts colleges for Washington Monthly's 2012 College Guide, which ranks schools that make a significant contribution to the public good. Centenary joins 12 of the 16 Associated Colleges of the South (ACS), including Millsaps, Rhodes, Southwestern, and Hendrix, in the top 100 of the Washington Monthly's ranking. The College has the lowest net price of attendance of all the colleges in the ACS, and received a score of 45, ranking 90 among 200 liberal arts colleges. Centenary also joins 12 other United Methodist-related colleges in the ranking.
