Centenary College welcomes two new trustees

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College’s Board of Trustees held its fall meeting on Thursday, October 20 and welcomed Mr. Imad K. Anbouba of Dallas and Mr. Ross Barrett of Shreveport as new board members. Anbouba (left) and Barrett (right) are pictured with Centenary President Dr. Christopher L. Holoman at the meeting.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Mr. Anbouba and Mr. Barrett to the Board of Trustees,” said Holoman. “The board will benefit from their diverse experiences and expertise, and I am grateful to them for agreeing to serve our community by investing their time and talents in Centenary College.”

Anbouba attended Centenary and holds a degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He is a petroleum engineer with more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas, mid-stream, and petrochemical industries. For the past 16 years has served as the president and CEO of MarJam Global Holdings, Inc., a privately owned holding company focused on business development and investments in a variety of energy sectors. Anbouba is a member of the Chancellor’s Advisory Council at Texas Christian University, a former Board Trustee of the International Liaison of the Independent Petroleum Association of America – North Texas Region (IPAA), a former board member of the Dallas Wildcatters, and a former board member and vice president of the Dallas Petroleum Club.

Barrett is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the Louisiana State University School of Law, and also holds a LLM degree in taxation from the New York University School of Law. He is the managing General Partner of BVM Capital Partners and is also a co-founder of the software and data analytics company VC Experts, Inc. A member of the Louisiana State Committee of 100 and the current president of the Shreveport-Bossier Committee of 100, Barrett serves on the boards of Esperance Pharmaceuticals, Embera Neurotherapeutics, MicroBiome Therapeutics, VC Experts, Inc., and K-94 Discoveries.

Anbouba and Barrett are each beginning their initial four-year terms on the Centenary Board of Trustees.
