SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College is celebrating its history and welcoming the future with a new giving campaign commemorating the upcoming inauguration of the College’s 31st president, Dr. Christopher L. Holoman. Holoman joined the College in July and will be formally installed during a ceremony at the Centenary Gold Dome on Friday, March 17.

The “31 for 31” campaign is a focused initiative to raise $310,000 for the Centenary Fund for Student Scholarships by the time of the inauguration. A generous anonymous donor has already provided 10% of the campaign goal with a gift of $31,000. Other donors are being encouraged to give in amounts reflecting the “31 for 31” theme: $31, $310, $3,100.

“This is a great opportunity for all alumni and friends of the College to show their support for the new president while at the same time addressing the scholarship needs of current and future Ladies and Gents,” said Fred Landry, Vice President for Development.

Supporters can participate in the “31 for 31” campaign by making a gift online at centenary.edu/31for31 or calling 318.869.5027.

Holoman’s formal installation ceremony will take place at the Gold Dome at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17. Full details for the ceremony and other inauguration events will be updated at centenary.edu/inauguration.
