Centenary prepares for Admission Open House July 22

SHREVEPORT, LA — Prospective students will have a chance to tour Centenary next weekend during the summer Open House hosted by the College’s Office of Admission. The Open House program will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 22.

“We are excited to welcome students to our summer Open House! This is the perfect opportunity for students and families to learn more about Centenary College and all we have to offer,” says Lauren Carlton, Associate Director for Recruitment. “Students will hear about the admission and application process, tour campus, and have the opportunity to speak with our students and professors.”

Students and families will start the morning with breakfast and an informative session covering admission and financial aid before embarking on an interactive tour of Centenary's beautiful 65-acre campus in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood. The day concludes with an Academic Browse where visitors can ask Centenary professors and students questions and learn more about their specific areas of interest.

“Open House is where I fell in love with Centenary because I bonded with students and faculty,” says Elizabeth Singh ’18, a biology major and Shreveport native. “It was obvious to me that I wanted Centenary to be my home for the next four years.”

Students interested in attending the Open House can view the schedule and register online at centenary.edu/openhouse. For more information, contact the Office of Admission at 800.234.4448 or 318.869.5131.
