Application checklist for degree-seeking international students

A complete international student application includes the following:

  • A completed application form - either the online Centenary application or the online Common Application
  • Original or certified copies of all high school or secondary school records and diplomas
    • Faxes, advisement, and student copies cannot be accepted
    • Any document not in English must be translated and evaluated by an international credentials evaluation service such as Josef Silny or World Education Services (WES)
    • Transfer students (students entering Centenary from another institution of higher learning) must also have an official college or university transcript mailed directly from each college or university previously attended
  • International Student Recommendation Form and a supporting letter from a teacher, college professor, or adviser
  • Certification of Finances Application
  • Immunization Record Form
  • Clear, legible copy of the photo page of your passport
  • Official test scores - official scores are those reported directly to Centenary by a testing agency at the request of the applicant
    • Native English speakers must submit official SAT I or ACT scores. Use SAT code 6082 and ACT code 1576 to submit your scores to Centenary.
    • Non-native English speakers must submit official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. Use TOEFL code 6082 and IELTS code 4650 to submit your scores to Centenary.
      • Minimum test scores required for admission are as follows:
        • TOEFL paper-based test: 550
        • TOEFL computer-based test: 213
        • TOEFL internet-based test: 79
        • IELTS (each content area): 6.0
    • An applicant may request to waive the TOEFL or IELTS requirement if he or she meets the following criteria:
      • Attended the final two years of high school in the U.S., resulting in a U.S. high school diploma; or
      • Successfully completed 30 transferable semester hours at a regionally accredited U.S. institution, including a minimum of six semester hours in English (excluding remedial English or English as a Second Language courses); or
      • Earned an associate's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
