FAFSA Facts

What is the FAFSA?

The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is the application for the Federal Pell Grant and all other federal financial aid programs as well as for the Louisiana TOPS scholarship.

Who needs to complete the FAFSA?

We encourage all students, regardless of their financial situation, to file the FAFSA. A student must complete the FAFSA each year, and the institution's cost directly affects a student's calculated financial need.

How do you file the FAFSA?

Use FAFSA On the Web to file the FAFSA. It is a good idea to complete the FAFSA Worksheet first and use it as a guide when filing online. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool can be used within the FAFSA to transfer data from your tax returns to the FAFSA and will expedite the processing time.

Both the student and a parent need to electronically sign the FAFSA with their own individually assigned FSA ID. The FSA ID can be requested at the conclusion of the FAFSA. You will also need to provide Centenary's FAFSA code.

What is Centenary's FAFSA code?

Centenary's FAFSA code is 002003.
