Centenary College first year students move in, prepare for Paris

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College welcomes its newest students to campus today, as first-year and transfer students participating in the College’s signature Centenary in Paris program move into their residence halls and prepare for next week’s journey to the French capital.

Centenary in Paris, celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, is a unique academic experience that allows Centenary students to spend one of their first weeks of college learning in an international setting. Students form deep bonds with their classmates and professors as they explore Paris through courses focused on art, history, music, literature, STEM, and more.

The Centenary in Paris program represents the first of several chances for Centenary students to study abroad, and for two years the College has been ranked #1 in the nation among baccalaureate colleges for the percentage of students who have completed an international educational experience.

Students participating in the Centenary in Paris program begin classwork in Shreveport on August 6 before departing for Paris on August 9. They return on August 17, wrap up their coursework, and prepare for the return of upperclassmen and the opening of the traditional fall semester on August 27.
